I see no problem with it at all. I love this picture. There are still a lot of parents out there who would have screamed and yanked their child away, thus biasing/traumatizing them in some fashion for life, and these guys took a picture. I don’t understand the people who say this means MORE than a bf and gf kissing. This means exactly the same. Two individuals having feelings for each other sharing a kiss. Until we value both scenarios of the same we will not reach equality. This is JUST as cute as a little boy and a little girl kissing. No more, no less… Amen. To play a little bit of both sides of the means more/same arguement in the comments above: the kiss itself has the exact same value as a kiss between a boy and a girl, yes, that’s true.  These kids’ feelings are neither more or less valid than anyone else’s. The act of photographing it and posting it to be reblogged around the world does bring with it all of the political/religous/social/and generally cultural contexts that it falls into right now.  The act of taking the picture is a statement.  Made even stronger by the fact that they are children.  When we as a larger culture learn to not see the difference between these kids, and a little girl and boy kissing, then photographs taken like this won’t mean more.  But a photograph is more than just the act depicted.  It’s the world in which it’s happening.  And that does bring certain things with it. Either way, though, yes, this is adorable.  And now they can both brag that they got their first kiss way earlier than anyone else in their class.  ^_^ The only reason I don’t like this picture is because I don’t support children kissing. Of any gender. And that’s mostly because I don’t support children. Other than that, go human rights.
